Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list. | Do not use reviews from the previous round: you must change them every round. | Post here to declare that youve done it: sooner is better than later. | Provide spoiler warnings in your post when appropriate. | Read the F.Y.C.s of all participants. | The next round starts on Monday at noon or later, F.W.F.R. time.

I gave 5/5 because I didn't read the last one properly and assumed it said dead (i.e. a pun on brain dead), so I don't get it. I guess it's a pun on brown bread but how does bread relate to things not going well for them?

Yes, exactly it's a variation on "brown bread", which is rhyming slang for dead.

A late entry - German cinema

NB:
The "13 Minutes" of the title refer to the length of time by which Hitler avoided being assassinated by a timed bomb in 1939.
Josef Bloch, a goalkeeper sent off following a poor referee decision, takes out his frustration on an unsuspecting woman.
Mary, a 14 year old girl, becomes dangerously obsessed with the concept of becoming a saint in "Stations of the Cross".
The Bioscope was one of the earliest inventions for filming and projecting moving pictures.

Sit TightJoe E. Brown works at a fitness centre.

I assume it's a pun on one of the Jimmy Browns, none of which I'd ever heard of before, so 5/5.

The rat who portrays those in the lab of a scientist getting his comeuppance is called Karma.

Melanie Light directed the anaolgy of the sinister milk industry.

The ursine protagonist relates the horrible things he has seen and experienced via a mechanical diorama.

One film includes an animated overview of civilization's past wrongs.

Sheru 'Saroo' (=Lion) Brierley single-mindedly tracks/-ed down his first family.

Here are my five reviews.

Pamela Franklin and female companion run into a serial killer while on a bicycle tour of rural France.

Wallace Beery was a pirate in Treasure Island but here he in cahoots with China Sea pirates. This was the locale of the comic strip Terry and the Pirates, hugely popular at the time of this lesser MGM opus.

Synthetic skin is the gimmick that lets the villain get away with murder (for a while). Female lead Fay Wray displays her own skin while wearing flimsy lingerie in a couple of scenes. Love those Pre-Code films.

The gun-toting protag of Ms. 45 wears a nuns habit in the bloody finale.

Sit TightJoe E. Brown works at a fitness centre.
