Let me know if I've misread the runes, but it seems we may have missed this 1938 classic screwball comedy starring Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, and a leopard called Baby.

Try a night at this museum ... uh-oh, there goes the exhibit

Abbreviated rules (re)borrowed from here to encourage some new entrants .... or old ones back.

The Rules

The first line of a haiku poem has five syllables.
The second line has seven syllables.
The third, and final, line has five syllables.

The Movie Haiku Contest (MHC) is open to every member of the FWFR site.

To enter, all you have to do is think of a Haiku for the current movie, then post into the current thread. Simple as that. Also, haikus may be risque, but nothing explicit please.

Only one entry per person as per The Blevins Rule. However, you are allowed to edit your existing entry until 9pm Tuesday FWFR time.

Voting.

If you have entered the MHC, then you have to vote. If you do not vote, you'll lose 3 points from your total, and suffer from Significant Shrinkage. This could mean the difference between Stardom and a big fat Dumpster Dive.

You do not have to enter the MHC to vote. Vote away. It'll be like a lurker vote!

---------------------------------

For each round, you get to vote for your three favourite haikus. The voting is as follows:

3 pts fwfr a
2 pts fwfr b
1 pt fwfr c
--------------------------------

You may vote only once
You cannot vote for yourself.
You can vote for the previous winner

You vote by sending me your votes in a PM (Private Message). Here.

When the voting deadline ends (9pm Wednesday 2 DEC FWFR time), the votes are tallied and the top three places are announced.

Grant spots Kate's cat but
that's no Baby! He's wilder
than this strange romance.

Have finally heard from Sludge, but Clay is still MIA. Tsk Tsk. I have PM'd him and hope to announce a winner sometime today. I guess it takes a looooooooooong time to bring up baby

OK the baby's all grown up, its bones have been accounted for and put in alphabetical order. And, ladies and germs, the votes are in.

Actually - there's a tie for 1st AND a tie for 2nd/3rd

So, to save embarrassment - I declare that Sludge should represent and choose the next film. Maybe we need to pick something post-1985 to reach a wider demographic, if the board agrees.

Go Sludgey!
