Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list.
Do not use reviews from the previous round: you must change them every round.
Post here to declare that you've done it: sooner is better than later.
Provide spoiler warnings in your post when appropriate.
Read the F.Y.C.s of all participants.
The next round starts on Monday at noon or later, F.W.F.R. time.

P. L. Travers was extremely demanding.

Spoiler for Star Wars: Episode VIII (ambiguous in the review): After having been AWOL for ages, Luke dies.

Lemmy in for #1237.

Victor Mature is the titular Chief.

The Conqueror - in one of the worst casting decisions in Hollywood history, John Wayne plays Genghis Khan.
A true bomb.
What prompted the use of the word 'bomb' in the review was the fact that the film was shot near a Utah atomic test site and many of the cast and crew, including Wayne, later died of cancer.

Brando before bloating.

In "A Ghost Story" Casey Affleck's character dies and returns to haunt his marital home, dressed in a sheet.
The death of a young woman on a Native American reservation prompts a dangerous FBI investigation in "Wind River".
Kenneth Branagh attempts to play Hercule Poirot.

I am literally just about to go out and watch it, so I hope it's not that bad, but I grant you that the trailer was pretty strange.

Edit: Well, I mostly enjoyed it, although it was an odd experience. For most people, or at least most Britons, and certainly me, Poirot is David Suchet, and having anyone else just doesn't feel right. Branagh attempts to balance the demanding pickiness with likeability but doesn't always manage, whereas I suppose that is what made Suchet so successful. And the moustache is really absurd, but perhaps it's possible that someone of his personality of the time could have that style. I've read several of the novels and of course seen loads of adaptations, but hadn't thought about the fact that I hadn't done either for Murder on the Orient Express, so it was a bonus that I didn't know who the culprit was.

Knowing the end before I went it definitely didn't improve the experience. The moustache made it much, much worse. It's a pity you now know the end before seeing the much better Lumet version. It occurs to me that Christie doesn't bear repeat reading/viewing.

That makes it unfortunate that I have previously read Death on the Nile, which this film slipped in as subtly as a sledgehammer as being the sequel.

By the way, would you not want to make it "Branagh butchers Belgian brogue"? A Belgian accent is not a brogue, I know, but he is Irish so it's logically in the bizarre mix.

I'd say it's up for debate if that gets made - I don't think this one has been has been as successful as the studio would have liked -bad reviews from the outset put people off regardless of Depp, Cruz, Ridley, Dench, Uncle Tom Cobbly and all.

A little tenuous, but more importantly would take away from my primary aim - referring to the murder on the Orient Express being more Branagh's portrayal.

Well, from this weirdly sycophantic article, at least, it seems like the film was actually pretty successful.

I meant butcher as a synonym for murder, especially the kind of murder involved here.
