Flops of the Decade

Objective

The end of a decade is a time of retrospection and the "best of" lists are coming thick and fast - here, by contrast, are the 50 worst performing films of the last ten years and, as a result of budgets ever increasing, some of least successful films ever made. The only surprise in knowing that Eddie Murphy's "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" did some of the worst business of all time (making just $4 million back on its estimated $100 million budget) is that it pipped a film as bad as "Battlefield Earth" which only lost $54 million; comparatively a mere drop in the ocean. Special mention should be made of 2006's "Zyzxyx Road" starring Katherine Heigl and Tom Sizemore which made an impressive $20 domestically, less than 0.1% its estimated $1.2 million budget. Commemorate the excess and stupidity of the 2000's big budget disasters and listen to the sound of money burning by completing this accolade of the inept.
