He's been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Fingers crossed for him and indeed anyone else in a similar position.

While I'm sure he's strong enough to fight as much as he can, I'm afraid that the prognosis for pancreatic cancer is very bad, most usualy by the time there are symptoms and you can diagnose it, it has already spread to the lymph nodes. But yes, it does sound like they caught it early enough and it hasn't spread - which is a very good thing.

Anyone we lose is, well, a loss. I hope he pulls through.

Did I hear correctly somewhere that the prognosis was looking a little better now? I went to see Dirty Dancing at the cinema recently and felt quite sad, so I hope so.

I remember being fairly dotty over Curious George books myself, a very long time ago.

I repeat, how long are lunch breaks in USA?

btw
<------Adam likes Curious George

Lunch breaks in the U.S. are typically 1 hour long, but since our boss was also watching the movie with us and was having just as much fun as the rest of us, we took two hours that day.

Hey thefoxboy, does the Curious George TV show get all the way to Australia or does Adam know Curious George form the books and the movie?

Books.

I wasn't a huge fan of Road House either. Any film that kills Sam Elliott is lessened by it.

I actually thought Sam Elliott was one of the only good things about the movie. Even when he was participating in terribly choreographed fight scenes, he somehow didn't lose his dignity.

Hm... I think that's what she meant, actually.

That is what I meant. I recall my reaction when his character died, which was "Oh MAN!!! He was the best part of this!!" But then, I admit to a Sam Elliott prejudice.

Sounds like great fun! I'd love to be there; must be something like Mystery Science Theater 2000? LOL!

Yeah, do tell. I have just about enough time for an episode of The Simpsons.

PS Sad news about P Swayze.

Our Road House screening was today. We all feel bad about Swayze's condition, but that didn't stop us from making sarcastic comments throughout the movie. I never much like Patrick Swayze as an actor, but he was especially bad in this one. Last year, we watched Red Dawn, which was about as bad as Road House and also starred Patrick Swayze. The consensus for next week's Cheesy Movie Tuesday Lunch is leaning towards Starship Troopers.
