Four Christmases
Maybe, like me, you were hoping that this would not be as terrible as the trailer. Well, skip watching it and you can keep on hoping. There are some amusing enough moments if one wills oneself to be in the mood, but the whole film doesn't go anywhere.

Families are the worst thing ever! Go out and start a family, everyone!
Why the fucking fuck is this kind of ridiculous hypocrisy so prevalent in chick flicks? And for another question, when did chick flicks and raunchy comedies turn into the same freaking thing? Wedding Crashers, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay -- all ruined by their dependence on contrived misunderstandings and formulaic everything-magically-better endings. Have all the jokes about urine and old people having sex you want, that's not the part that makes me want to puke. |

N.B. MERPs, a review referring to there being four Christmases is not title play only. Something being in the title does not mean that it is not in the film! |
