Why are half of the television dramas courtroom dramas? Because everyone loves a good trial. Post your favorite avatars evoking famous trials...

Bife's actually may fit quite well with the theme of the next contest. Anyway, thanks all. I'm quite overwhelmed (not to mention blessed ). Next topic coming up soon. You'll understand the blushing smiley shortly.

This Famous Trial has been dragged out long enough, it's time to reveal the decision of the jury so they can get to work on their book deals:

In third place, with 10 points (3,2,2,2,1)...

With the verdict for Socrates that got hem-locked up for life...

MguyX !

In a second place tie, with 12 points each (3,2,2,2,1,1,1) and (3,3,3,1,1,1)...

With a cheesy "Odor in the court" and the place where Al Cowlings meets al-Qaeda...

Cheese_Ed and turrell !!

And in first place, with 13 points (3,3,3,3,1)...

She turned the other cheek when her avatar was crucified (sort of)...

StaLean !!!

Goddamn, StaLean, you've picked up your record 12th victory! It was a trial by fire, but you came out with a favorable verdict. Care to testify on your winning ways and then take a stand on the next avatar topic for us to exhibit?

Just in with a late vote!

This is highly out of order, but hopefully the jury will allow it..

I suppose in any of the contests you can think of a ripper when you pick the topic - I actually found this picture after we all got started.

Voted:

"Guilty, guilty, guilty! I love that word! Guilty."

That will make sense to anyone who remembers playing 'Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?'

Yes you can, so I'll plan on taking your first ballot GH, unless I hear differently.

Voted, but I made an error by voting for turrell's Osama/OJ avatar and since he started the contest, he is inelligible.

I have since sent "Judge Ed" my replacement vote. I hope he receives it in time for the recount!

I thought you could vote for the winner of the last round.

We the jury find the defendants voted upon.

Besides, the other entries don't depict the actual trial of their respective selections. So, why are you picking on my entry?

Because the painting is better than the one I picked.

NB: Again, however, even Josephus describes a sentencing hearing, not a trial. The more salient observation is that none of the avatar images depicts a trial, so why am I picking on your avatar. (Answer above.) (No, not in heaven: above the last paragraph.)

I like your painting.
