Yes, yes, I know we've already had a "signs" contest. This one's a bit more specific. For this contest we need real government-issue road/street/traffic signs... that seem a bit off. Again, though, they have to be real. No "tosser crossing" signs, please.

I'll start us off with this little pic that a friend took while I was driving. Three highways all sharing the same road... Find out what happens when one highway tries to traffic it across the border, another tries to turn it into a four-lane with wide shoulders and the third ends up getting them lost in the hills. Coming to primetime this fall on UPN!

Now that's what I call a first-time winner

Nice one Warzonkey

The sooner the better, you can pick one now if you want and find an entry tomorrow.

Nice work by the way.

Hadn't even contemplated a new topic. Have just got home from the pub slightly drunk. Will have to think up something tomorrow (after viewing all the previous ones to prevent repetition). Why am I omitting pronouns from the start of my sentences?

Anyway, will sleep on it. When's the next contest supposed to be announced by?

Edit...

I noticed a -3 on my vote score. I presume that was for not voting. But I was sure I voted. Oh well, maybe I didn't, or being an avatar virgin I messaged the wrong person in some drunken stupor. Anyway, sorry guys, I didn't intentionally not vote - I thought I had.

2nd Edit...

I think I sent my votes to Evil Giraffe, being the apparent creator of this thread and concept. Checking my mail I find I have a vote reminder from Cheese_Ed, so I guess it's Cheese I should have sent my votes to(?).

Warning, landslide ahead:

In third place, with 9 points (3,3,2,1)...

I guess deaf and blind pedestrians should be careful not to get too (or four) tired...

duh !

In second place, with 11 points (3,3,3,1,1)...

I guess it's a sign posted in the shipping lanes...

basselope !!

And in first place, with 17 points (3,3,3,3,2,2,1,1,1,1,-3)...

I guess that's the cow that jumped over the moo-n coming back to earth...

Warzonkey !!!

ANOTHER first time winner! Great job, Warzon, that's as strong a victory as we've seen in a while all but two voters awarded you at least 1 point.

It's great to see so many new players and new winners in this contest in the last few months.

Let's hear a declaration, War., and then sign us up for the next avatar topic.

Felt a mysterious pull to vote.

Looked at my map and I voted. Now where the hell do I go from here?

I drove over three of those cables-on-the-road-traffic-counting things...I think they recorded my votes.
Koli Posted - 06/27/2006 : 14:40:57
I followed all the directions - but still found my way to Cheese_Ed and sent off some votes.

I put my thumb up three arses today. Now I understand the sign.

I've parked all the entries at www.fwiffer.com

Your vehicle will roll uphill.

This avatar brought to you by the New Brunswick Tourist Office.

This really is a real road sign in the UK - except that the low-tech versions seen by the side of the road don't lift up to reveal something saucy.
