Best known for his role as a smart-mouthed inner city youth adopted by a rich White surbanite on the mediocre television program "Diff'rent Strokes", Gary Coleman (who still looks like a smart-mouthed inner city youth into his late 30's) sadly passed away today. I hope the folks in the UK suffered through re-runs of this awful show as I did.

And really if you are going to abbreviate a word does it make sense to substitute an apostrophe for just one letter - its much easier to type an e than an '. With that in mind, I submit:

I was going to enter "Arrived at Avenue RIP" but no one would have understood that joke.
In the musical "Avenue Q" one of the character of the cast is Gary Coleman - that doesn't mean Gary appears on stage himself, they just use his real-life persona as a character, who is so down on his luck, he now works as a handyman for the apartment block. One of the early lines in the musical is when someone asks one character how he got to Avenue Q, and the person replies that he started from Avenue A but Q was the first one in his price-range. Of course, the letters R, I and P all come before Q so they must be fancier than where he was living before!
