Well, thefoxcub and I went out to the city and today and walked in the Crown Casino Complex and bumped into some FWFRers.
So the 5 of us were....

Conan The Westy
Conan's daughter
and all the way from the UK
Josh_the_cat
We sat and chatted for a couple of hours, got to meet Josh's and Conan's better halves and Josh's little boy WAC got to meet thefoxcub.
I'll let Conan explain why thefoxcub is crying in the pic. 
So glad that Josh and I put this meeting together, it was nice to be able to talk to some fellow FWFRers.
Was this the first cross hemisphere confourence? If not, it is the longest travelled one.

I gotta say that it was great that I was able to meet some FWFRers from around the globe.
We had a great time chatting and Mrs Cat was delighted she was not the only FWFR widow there.
I was really happy to meet up with thefoxboy and family and glad that Conan andf family were able to escape the snows at home to make it to the big city for the meeting.
For those of you who have chetted to Conan or Foxy you will not be surprised that they were delightful company and an excellent advert for meeting the locals.
Cheers guys, next time can we make it somewhere closer to Yorkshire please!

We were scooped by 4 months, Sean! Just as it looked like I dodged the benj in NZ record breaker, out of nowhere drops the Cat.

Guess we'll have to settle for the Southernmost Confourence ever.

It was a great chance to catch up and chew the fat. Apart from my unfortunate encounter with thefoxcub (who charmed my wife), it was great for my wife to finally meet some other long-suffering spouses. |

Edit: Oh, I see, that explains that. I'll remember to keep well away from Conan's noggin if I ever make it to Melbourne.  |
