I was trying yesterday, yet again, to introduce my 16 year old niece to the joys of fwfr. She was reading through my motley collection of reviews, stifling a giggle every now and then (she doesn't want me to know that my reviews might be funny occassionally), when she came across my review for A Beautiful Mind, 'Sine of Madness'.

She looked at it for a few moments, a puzzled look crossing her face. "But it's only three words", she said. "Yes", said I, "the reviews have to be four words or less".

"oh", she said, "that's dumb. It should be called the Four Word Or Less Film Review". She was deadly serious - how could we possibly call this the Four Word Film Review site if we allow three word film reviews!

Well, I thought it was funny enough to share with you, but maybe you 'had to be there'

Someone with a mentality as warped as mine? Shurely shome mishtake!

I know they stole it. I just wished it could have led to some sympathy votes for my brilliant review.

It took me almost a week to figure out that "review" didn't mean a "two thumbs up" type of thing (i.e. is the film worth watching)

Me slow.

I'm much too lazy to check, but I'd bet the vast majority of the 100 all-time reviews are under 4 words.

In your niece's honour, I've submitted a review for this film.

well u tell miss sassy britches that IF, by her rationale, the name were to be changed, it should be the "Four Word or Fewer Film Review."

fewer items. less stuff. i.e., fewer gallons, less gas.
take that bife's niece.

We have a chain store called The 99 Cents Store here in the United States, but there are some things that are less than 99 cents there.
