Classic. My dad was good friends with Wally Whyton and now 'steps out' (or whatever 60-somethings do when they're dating) with his widow.

He was a lovely guy, I can remember he sent me a top of the range compass/geometry set when I was at school and getting good at maths.

Manowar claims the title of "loudest band in the world", and the Guiness Book of World Records has documented them as the holders of the record for the loudest musical performance, at 129.5 decibels. Custom equipment was built for the band by John "Dawk" Stillwell, which helped achieve the massive sound.

Believe it or not, Jim Post is still working.

Be sure to buy his new book....lol "Jungle Beat"

Could possibly be the worst Childrens book cover.

The lead singer is a congressman.

I can't believe they sung "Still The One"

One interesting Tidbit

- A popular myth suggests that the band posed nude for the cover of the Waking and Dreaming album. In fact, they were wearing jeans but the photo was cropped above their waists

One of their memebers, John Hall (the profile guy) is a US Congressman from New York - I guess his opponent didn't know about this album cover...

Is Orleans pre-Village People?

Is that "Joyce" album the soundtrack from Tootsie?

Reminds me of an avatar competition from last year.

So bad, they make me very uncomfortable. Each one is like a PSA to warn about the dangers of inbreeding.

I think "The Braillettes" and "The Handless Organist" are beyond satire.

Actually Wally Whyton was big on BBC Children's TV.
