Abdul breaks nose in dog mishap
American Idol judge Paula Abdul has broken her nose while trying to avoid standing on her pet Chihuahua.
Abdul told US TV show Extra she had torn cartilage, fractured her toe and bruised her arm, chest and waist. "All from my little chubby Tulip," she said.
The former pop star, 44, is recovering and will appear on American Idol's grand finale this Wednesday, said her publicist, David Brokaw.
"She's a little sore, but is doing fine," he added.
The dog was not hurt in the incident.

No, he's monitored 24/7 by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to make sure he doesn't insult any creature that has a higher level of intelligence than he has.
That doesn't leave him many creatures to insult, does it?
Nope, just Paula Abdul by the sounds of it- even the Chihuahua had the good sense to know when to run.
Presumably, in trying to avoid crushing the dog she took one step forward and two steps back? (Ahem )
I've never broken anything, but I have a Boston Terrier and I can't tell you how many times she has gotten under foot and almost tripped me. I feel Paula's pain. But, I have never choked on a pretzel.
"These pretzels are makin' me thirsty." -- everyone on Seinfeld.

I gather Dubya is monitored 24/7 by the American Humane Association for his own protection.

Did anyone else, while reading this gem, recall the Dubya incident where he fell off a couch? choked on a pretzel? or was that the same incident?
Just asking ...
