Each day the BBC News HomePage runs a quote of interest. Today's comes from Crowfoot, a Blackfoot warrior in 1890, and I wanted to share it with you:

Not to get all maudlin on you, but life is every breath you breathe. Keep that up, and you're alive.
I've seen life depart from two fine women over the last year: both of our moms. [No tears, please: they've been shed.] One minute you're alive. Then you're not breathing any more and you're inert.
Just keep breathing, my droogies. Do that, and you're alive. *Enjoyment* of such? That may be another thread. |
