Let's raid the patent office and steal the plans for as many robots, replicants, motorised and mechanical thingummys as we can find!
Here's the highest-tech hi-tech tortoise you're likely to encounter this side of the 25th century |

TP, of all the mechanised sidekicks in the history of television and film, Twiki is the one I despise most (though I do not criticize you for choosing him as your avatar in this contest -- it's just a personal thing).
His head is essentially the mons of a metal penis with even less appeal to me than a real one. Why must you torture me???
Disclaimer: TitanPa is an awesome fwffr; I just can't stand that damned Twiki! |

It seems that many of the earliest machines were used for torture, warfare and executions.
Couldn't they think of anything nicer to invent? |

If you remember doing this you were probably a boy at school in the 80s
I hope the next generation of kids found something better to amuse themselves with |

When I first saw the new theme title, I read it as "Merchandised." I read all the posts to this point, trying to figure out what machines have to do with merchandising. Finally, my middle-aged brain sorted it out correctly.
Here's my entry, a mechanical aquatic fowl (sorry Sean, not a penguin) by creator of automata, Jacques de Vaucanson. |
