Determine how many times a week you eat or want chocolate. It must be a number between 1 and 10, including 1 or 10.

Let's say you want/eat chocolate 8 times a week -
Multiply that number by 2.

8 x 2 = 16
Add 5 to the previous result.

16 + 5 = 21
Multiply that by 50.

21 x 50 = 1050
Add 1757 if you've had a birthday this year. If you haven't had a birthday this year, add 1756.

Let's say your birthday hasn't passed yet.
1050 + 1756 = 2806
Subtract your birth year.

Assuming you were born in 1975...
2806 - 1975 = 831
You'll end up with a 3 or 4 digit number. The last two digits are your age [if you're under 10 years old there will be a zero before your age). The remaining one or two digits will be the number of times per week you eat or want chocolate (the number you specified in the first step].

Aw, sweet! Thanks.

And yes, of course it works. I've seen this one many times and it doesn't matter what number you start out with.

(I hardly ever eat chocolate more than twice a week.)

Actually, no, I don't. Ordinary run-of-the-mill chocolate doesn't tempt me anymore, and at work my boss is always making sure we have some to give out to kids that visit (or to help frazzled staff get through the day). I can only be tempted by really, Really, REALLY good chocolates these days. And while I do have an assortment of some truly excellent chocolates in a drawer in my bedroom, I don't get the urge more than once or twice a week to have some. This is why I consider myself to be a chocolate gourmet (or connoisseur, if you will) and not a chocolate addict.

(There's a world of difference between a wine connoisseur and a wino!)
