| While Im trying to sneak behind shoon to surpass him, I find Mork rushing up behind me. Im looking more in my rear view mirror. Anyone else watching their backs? |

I pay no attention at all to quantity ranks. It wouldn't even bother me if I dropped out of the Top 100. I'm even contemplating getting rid of a few hundred of my crap 2003 reviews which would drop me down the list quite a way. I'm not losing my wings though.  |

I used to watch back and front, not anymore. I don't have as much time on my hands as I used too. Wonder why? [thinking smiley]
I'm trying to get back to writing quality reviews and my VA has gone from 2.85 to 3.12 of late, that's a damn good increase with the total reviews I have. It takes about 100 votes to get my VA up .01
I still have a few boring accolade fillers pending.
I just can't delete them. |

Oh yeah,
MelissaS is directly behind me but not active at the moment. However, hurtling up the rankings is BBabe who I expect to overtake MelissaS by July and could overtake me by Christmas, depending on my own rate of submissions.
Kolo and Sludge are ahead of me and I'm slowly catching them but that could just be an accident of the MERPS clearing films from my pending pile rather than theirs, and they could scoot ahead again next week.

Batty has been stagnant since I passed the 1765 mark. The encouragement of chocolate lady has definately helped me hit the submission cap every week since she started the encouraging and she is keeping an even 300+ ahead of me...
...but who's counting...ahem. |

Relax, old Bean - I'm not submitting my full 20 per week right now, and my pending pile is shrinking from an all-time-personal high of almost 300 reviews. I'm not pushing right now, I just add a review if a film strikes my fancy or if I see I've lost an accolade because a film just got added to it.
(But I do have a whole bunch pending for one movie that I hope I'll be able to MIHAI eventually.)

I think one of my problems is reviewing not so well known movies combined with the fact that I stopped submitting for a couple of months around christmas (even though my pending pile never reached zero.
Judging by current acceptance rates I should gain my halo in around two months.
On that topic the rate of acceptance has never been a problem for me,I believe we must take it as it comes. |

| I try to pay no attention to ranks. But its really hard at times. Im always a competitor. I stopped submitting for a few months while I was moving. That took me from the top 25 to now 28 almost dipping into the 30's. Ive gotten better at reviewing. I try to make quality reviews. I think it shows too. I went from a 1.5 average to a 3+, almost a 4. |

Now that school's out for the summer, I'm spending more time on my reviews. I'm trying to make a push to get to Movie Deity, which is unfortunately conflicting with my other push to get to a 3.5 vpr average (I can only pimp 10 or so reviews a week).
