By special request from Mrs C, and total agreement from me, lets do in one of Hollywood's most irritating - Owen Wilson. Go on, you know you want to.

Yeah, I started to enter it for mine earlier, looked it up to make sure, and there it was--the winner. I even decided to delete my "Night In the Morgue" because I thought it was too close.

I had already PMed Cheese_Ed letting him know that it was a previous winner. I'm sure he wouldn't have used it if he had remembered.

I have decided to follow FWPT rules on this matter and not allow previous winners to be used.

I have a question Mr. Foxy. When I was looking up the "Night at the Mausoleum" review, I was actually looking for what all previous entries were for Ben Stiller so I wouldn't repeat any. This doesn't happen very often, but some stars are in so many of the same films that it becomes difficult to come up with a review that hasn't been used at all before. As long as it wasn't the winner, would our reviews be legitimate if we submit and find out later that it happens to have been a previous entry?

The reason I decided to go with the same rule as FWPT is that I had also thought of "Night at the Mausoleum" and looked up the previous winners list. So that was two of us that didn't enter it before it was submitted.

I think using a previous non winner is ok, the reason?, I'm not going to scroll through 100's of entries in archived threads to check.

What do you guys & gals think?

No wonder it sounded like a surefire winner!

I just thought of another... so I searched... and it was the second place winner for Gene Hackman.

How about:

The Witting Crasher.

I decided that winning entries can't be used again for FWPT as there didn't seem much point repeating winners. But, there are thousands of previous entries and I'm not gonna bother going through them (and don't expect entrants to go through them either), so yeah, in a bid to keep things as simple and open as possible, people can get their inspiration from any source, including unsuccessful previous FWPT entries (although there's nothing to stop someone highlighting previous entries so that they don't get too many votes though ).

The day may well come when it'll be quite hard to be original. There are a finite number of movies, and only so much you can do with four words. Hence I try to pick non-moviestar FWPT pornstars and FWTO victims whenever I get the chance.
