Now that I've turned 50, I've been working on my family tree and my family's history. Like it so far?
(It's a "family tree" of the history of chocolate, of course!)

What a coincidence! I've also been working on my family tree using this website my dad sent me called Geni: http://www.geni.com/
I also did all that I can of my family history. Its available on my facebook profile, but nobody has read it yet except my dad, mom, sister, and this girl I dated about a year ago. |

I started that Geni thing too, and now we're up to 825 people! And I always thought I had a small family! |

This avatar shows the two most recognised cartoon families in the 21st century, The Simpsons and The Griffins (from Family Guy). Obviously the similiarities are very easy to spot, however there is one thing seperating them. Simpsons have been round for longer.

The place where families meet: marriage. And traditionally a new family isn't begun until after the wedding.
Sometimes a bride with a slightly unfortunate surname is glad to put it to one side and take on a new mantle. Sometimes, of course, there's a whole lot more embarrassment afterwards.
I am delighted to present....Mr and Mrs Kuntz-Dick.
Whaaaat?
For the benefit of anyone who can't quite make out the picture caption, it says:
Kuntz-Dick Lisa Renee Kuntz and Gary Wayne Dick plan to be married in a 12.30 p.m. ceremony July 14 at Carmel United Methodist Church in Carmel, Ind.
Isn't that sweet? It would be nice to think that, in a few short years, there will be a large family of Kuntz-Dicks playing in their back yard. |

Meet the Toe family, Big Toe, Tippytoe, Bilto, Froto, and Pinky. The Toes are an accompolished clan. Although they seem to get into jams now and again, their feats outweigh their defeets. Bilto and Froto had toe-to-toe battles for the one and only true Toe ring depicted in the book series The Lord of the Toe Rings by J.R.R. Toelkien, of which you may have heard... to be continued. |

One of the most fascinating hobbies is raising betta splendens. In the mating ritual, the male blows a nest of bubbles. Then he embraces the female and she releases the eggs. The male retrieves the eggs and places them into the bubblenest.
It is wise to remove the female from the tank after mating has been completed, because male bettas are very protective of the nest.
The prospective father then tends the nest and the eggs. He adds bubbles to the nest, and when eggs fall from it, he places them back.
When the eggs begin the hatch, the father retrieves fry that fall from the nest and puts them back into the nest. Some incompetent males will eat their eggs or fry, so the breeder needs to remove the male from the mating tank as soon as the fry are able to swim on their own. |

825??? I haven't filled in everyone so far, but I'm only at about 200 (and that includes a bunch of people my aunt by marriage put from her side of the family that I never met or ever will). |
