Should Benj get royalties? Some people love FWFR that they actually mention the website when they try to copy us.

For Word Book Review

Are some of your reviews mentioned as Book to movie reviews?

Funny thing is, they ask for submissions...But no link on if anybody did submit.

He writes, "Please send your reviews to [email protected]," but I'm not going to send him squat.

I wrote one that he read on the air, and the one he wouldn't.

I like this because the person actually gives credit to FWFR. Most people just rip off other people's ideas.

More than that... I've owned the domain name for several years now!

Re: FWBRs... I've been considering setting up said site but running it without MERPs. This way it wouldn't take up any of my time (setting it up aside) or the other MERPs' time and it'd be an interesting test bed for an unmoderated four word site.

Thoughts? Would this be something anyone might want to submit to?

Reading books would take timer away from watching movies. Hmmmm I wonder if there is a website called Netboox.

I would probably submit to a FWBR site much less than FWFR. Books are also more difficult because each individual reading a book has a different idea of what the book "looks like" whereas in film, what you see is what you get, and so everyone has the same frame of reference, which makes jokes easier to write for maximum appeal. Also, there is no standard Internet Book Database in the same way we have IMDb that we can check against. I suppose we can use Amazon, but then we get into the problem of editions, reprints, and translations. What about anthologies and reference books? Do pamphlets count? What about government publications and dissertations?

Most of the books that would work with the FWFR model have already been made into movies and those movies have been reviewed. I can imagine that there are famous books that are unlikely to be made into movies, but could lend itself nicely to the FWFR model (The Origin of Species and The Communist Manifesto come to mind).

My first reaction is that there's a lot of films I've reviewed that were originally books.
In which case I take dibs on all my reviews to pass over and I can already think of a great review for Peter Brenchley's Jaws
