Tsk... it seems no sooner does this cinema (one of my personal favourites) get lauded as one of the 10 best cinemas in the UK, they've cranked the prices waaaaaay up. 13.50 ($27) to see a film now??? (Not sure if it's related, but I heard Odeon were going to buy them out)
Anyway... can anyone tell me... am I remembering the Empire through rose-tinted spectacles (this is the first time I've been since May) or have they also added two or three more rows of seats at the front? I could swear there used to be so much more space between the front row and the massive screen- now I actually have to look up! Not pleased
When Odeon and U.C.I. merged, I thought that was one they legally had to let go because of owning about ten cinemas within about three metres of each other.

I wondered about that, since this would mean they 'owned' three of the four sides of Leicester Square. Bit of a monopoly and all that.
What about the seats though? Am I imagining they've put a few more rows in? It's driving me nuts trying to figure out what's changed.
Yep, it's very small - though not quite like the Odeon Mezzanine screens! I just went there because it seemed to be the only place showing that Simon Pegg/David Schwimmer film, whatever it was called. It was around this time last year when I wanted to reach 100 for the year (which I did by the end of April this time ).
