I'm not sure about any of the other categories, but there's no doubt the Rising Star award will go to Shia Labeouf. Not necessarily because he deserves it (although I do like him), just because Joe Public has seen 'Transformers' (oh, how I despise public awards- they generally just reveal how incapable of joined-up-thinking the average punter is ). |

Uhm --- we don't have a writer's strike here ... unless you know something I don't
well - I mean you know lots of things I don't, but ... hey - you know ...

Ah... I'm getting confused. I was thinking of my question a while back about outsourcing US writing to other countries (which can't happen apparently). It won't apply in this instance because the *client* isn't based in the US |

I'm so ashamed.
While I have seen every film up for "animation," the only live action ones on your list I've seen are Bourne and Harry Potter.
I'm part of that "public" you despise, apparently. And, I need to go to the movies without my kids again. |

Uhm ... I never said I despised the public, and it's not my list ... it's the official BAFTA shortlist - which, yes, as a voting member I helped to select.
Have just posted off my votes for winners ... but I won't reveal them. Not before the awards, anyway

Sorry, didn't mean to offend; I was feeding off the coment from Benj.
I'm certainly not qualified to vote, so it's a good thing I'm not allowed |
