Why are half of the television dramas courtroom dramas? Because everyone loves a good trial. Post your favorite avatars evoking famous trials...

It is not a real trial, but it is a famous one. To Kill A Mockingbird.

More of a prolonged deliberation than a trial, but a pretty famous one nonetheless.

Here's one that was a famous real life trial and the inspiration for a great stage play that later was done on film: The Scopes Trial.

The truth about the Scopes trial. As you will read, the citizenry was enthusiastic about the affair as a means of PR for their little town. Thus, my avatar, a political cartoon from that period.

I present the trial of the ages, Jesus of Nazareth. I think it is safe to say this trial has affected more people than any other.

Pilate presenting Jesus to the crowd, 30 C.E. or A.D. 30. Ecce Homo, by Antonio Ciseri (1821-91).

Even as a non-American, I know what Roe vs Wade is. But to be honest - I would be clueless as to how blue vehicle avatar fits in

Happy to be educated though

The water is rising. Row or wade? The vehicle has a scoop on the front--perhaps it is one of those things that has a snorkel on it?

What a great theme this is working up to be!

BTW - I found a really cool animated gif buit it is 106 K - too big barely - is there a free program that would allow me to compress this or shrink it so that I can get it under 100K?
