row vs wade. Im glad we have smart people around here.
BTW this was one of those man-made-car-boats that the cubans used to get into this country.
Shall we row? Or shall we wade? |

If you were married to Hillary, you'd be confused by what constitutes sexual relations, too! |

I never actually read the whole book, but I did read that first allegory involving the gatekeeper. |

Pilate presenting Jesus to the crowd, 30 C.E. or A.D. 30. Ecce Homo, by Antonio Ciseri (1821-91).
Respectfully, I disagree. The image is that of Pilate presenting the masses with the choice of liberating Jesus, not trying him. This is akin to a parole hearing.
Also, there are those who declared O.J.'s trial "The Trial of the Century," though Bruno Hauptman's trial earlier in the century originally garnered that declaration.
So I present an earlier trial of the ages: the trial and death of Socrates. |

To clarify, as much as I would like to take credit for turrell's avatar, all I did was reduce its filesize. |

Any guy who gives credit to a woman for reducing his size has to be a very confident individual.
EDIT: Madonna has that effect on me!
p.s. Don't be Dafoe, vote for my avatar. |

Also, there are those who declared O.J.'s trial "The Trial of the Century," though Bruno Hauptman's trial earlier in the century originally garnered that declaration.
So I present an earlier trial of the ages: the trial and death of Socrates.
Flavius Josephus: "Pilate sentenced him to die on the cross, having been urged to do so by the noblest of our citizens [mass jury]; but those who loved him at the first did not give up their affection for him. And the tribe of the Christians, who are named after him, have not disappeared to this day."
O.J.'s trial is old news, as is Hauptman's. I daresay the masses think about Jesus/God/religion more often than they ever have of O.J., Bruno, or Socrates (this doesn't mean I don't think Socrates isn't important). Besides, the other entries don't depict the actual trial of their respective selections. So, why are you picking on my entry? |

Because the painting is better than the one I picked.
NB: Again, however, even Josephus describes a sentencing hearing, not a trial. The more salient observation is that none of the avatar images depicts a trial, so why am I picking on your avatar. (Answer above.) (No, not in heaven: above the last paragraph.) |
