Everyone put on your leg warmers and your shoulder pads. Take your Sony Walkman and listen to Wham! and Thriller album. Make your way to the cinema and watch Breakfast Club and Top Gun.

This week's avatar is a time warp to the eighties. I would like to start with the recognisible icon of the 80's, Pacman

If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it's run over by a car, you don't want it.

Was thinking of using MTV, since it has been 25 years since it had started. But i decided otherwise when I saw my avatar.

I'd like to enter, but the system won't let me change my avatar.

Edit: Weird, it has actually changed my avatar, but won't let me change the four word description.

Anyway, it's a IBM-PC, invented in 1981.

Ah, so many ... bizarre... memories!

For example, Jon Erik Hexum. Yep, a big TV star of the 80's hit "Cover Up". He played a secret agent who's cover identity was as a male model for an international modeling agency. Yep, while out on photo shoots, he did secret agent work with Jennifer O'Neill.

Hexum was handsome but apparently also dumber than a bag of hammers; he accidentally killed himself while aiming a prop gun loaded with blanks at his head.

Wow. Look at all that hair. That was the 1980's pre-metrosexual sensibility for you.

The haircut of the decade...The Mullet.

Ah, the 80's, the best decade of my life.

Went on my first trip back to Sicily.
Lost my virginity.
Got my first mullet.
Got my drivers license and first car....Fiat 128 Sport.
Turned the legal age to go to pub.
Got thrown into the back of the police van for the first time, peeing in public.
Left school and did a trade, which I am still in today.
Went on a 12 month trip around the world.
Met the most beautiful girl in the world, who was an Australian on holiday in LA.
Drove around Australia, thought I better see my own country.
Moved to Melbourne to be with that beautiful girl.

Just so you know, I started the 90's by getting married to that beautiful girl.

Mine won't upload either. Might it be a problem with animated gifs?

Mine's at www.fwiffer.com as well.

I don't think so - it won't me make ANY amendment, even just changing the comment.

Mine let me change my avatar, but not the "me in four words" part. The avatar LOOKED like it did not change, but when I hit reload it actually had.

Tried Opera and Firefox, haven't found my copy of IE or Nutscape to try them yet...

I had the same problem in the "Myself In Four Words" area.

<------- Obviously!

It also wouldn't upload my AVATAR as a .JPEG, but it worked as a .GIF though...
