ChrisC and myself have agreed to post a massive FWFR-wide notice of congratulations to the gorgeous couple who are tying the knot, pledging the vows, exchanging the rings, and generally getting hitched this weekend.
If we could send lotsa prezzies all tied up with the biggest bow in the Hubble universe ... we would!!
Meanwhile, let joy be unconfined and let each and every FWFRer add to the merriment and congratulations.
We love you, Mr and Mrs Benj!

"I Lisa, take you Benj, to be my husband. To share the good reviews and the bad side by side. I humbly give you my hand and my heart as a sanctuary of warmth and peace from all worries in the fourum, and pledge my faith and love to you. Just as the queue of pending reviews is without end, my love for you is eternal. Just as all those reviews are of incorruptible substance (Yeah, right!), my commitment to you will never fail. With this review, I mean ring, I thee wed."
CONGRATULATIONS, BENJ AND LISA!!!!

Thanks all. This is the first chance I've had to check the site in a couple of days (and I'm guessing the same will be the case for the next couple of days too).
I've spent most of the day getting last minute stuff sorted- hair cut, prezzies... and then finding out my best man and father of the bride presents are now going to be seriously last minute stuff because they weren't at the jewellers yet (so now I have to hightail it into town early tomorrow am before meeting my brother to get a lift/ road trip from London to Newcastle).
Meanwhile, my brilliant plan of the post-wedding party music streaming off iTunes on a laptop isn't looking like such a good idea after struggling to fit my amplifier and two speakers (plus cables (and backup cables), software (and backup copy of software), plus playlist (and two backup copies of playlist)) into a manageable bag. This, lest we forget, is in addition to my rucksack of odds and sods and my suit that I need to transport up too. All this carrying needs to happen in the early morning London rush hour too, via the jewellers mentioned earlier.
I also spent a good part of today prancing about in my (white) wedding suit just for the fun of it. I dug out my black and white wingtip Swing dancing shoes and they finish the whole look off nicely. My only regret is I didn't get a big hat with a feather in it.
Oh... and did I mention I've not written the speech yet? No pressure. I think I'll see what the basic structure is tonight, sleep on it and write it on the way up tomorrow (assuming my travel sickness doesn't kick in). At worst, I can bunk off Saturday AM and work on it a bit more then. Sadly, four words isn't an option, since I don't think most of my relatives know about the site and instead it'd just come off as laziness |

Big big congratulations Benj, and to your lovely lass Lisa!
Words of advice:
- [1.] She's always right. Just accept it. Nay, bask in it.
- [2.] She's always right. Don't fight it, man! It's just how it is.
- [3.] If you think for a second that she is not right, ask her, and she will very likely dispel your confusion and tell you that she's right.
- [4.] If you think for more than a second that she's not right, and you happen to feel amorous, please realize that by accepting the fact that she is right, you will feel a LOT better in a couple of hours.
- [5.] Your friends may, from time to time, suggest that she is not right. Have a few drinks with them, acknowledge loudly that you agree with their collective wisdom, swear that you will go home and impose the law of your rectitude, then go home. Once home, tell her how stupid your friends were. (CAVEAT: don't tell her that they said she was not right--or that you were even TALKING about her relative rectitude; it makes point of advice number 4 a LOT harder to actualize.)
- [6.] If she's wrong, tell her how much the world, physics, and everyone else is retarded, because it should be the case that she's right.
- [7.] If for some reason you disagree, and you are undeniably right, take her in your arms, look rakishly into her eyes and give in to that feeling in your heart that led you to pledge your undying love to her. Just before you kiss her, tell her that there's nowhere else on Earth you'd rather be. Leave it at that. She probably thinks you're right too.
I wish you two all the best in the wonderful lifetime upon which you mutually embark. I'd sprinkle votes among your reviews, but they are hard to wrap, and I cannot fathom the postage due.
I think I'll just send a prezzie the old fashioned way.
Best of luck, and best of love, you two.
