This week let's try finding some interesting juxtapositions for our avatars. Be creative and find an unusual or unlikely mix for your avatar! For instance, since cocoa is an oil based product, you know it shouldn't really be mixed with water. Hence my avatar is the movie Like Water for Chocolate.

The local Dillons Supermarket has a delivery van with this motto painted on it, "We specialize in all-occasion flowers." Always tickles me. Am I missing something? |

The movie featured in my avatar juxtaposes the jolly with the macabre. |

After looking up the definition and seeing all your av's, I think I got the hang of it. Who says Little Girls dont like to play with guns?
If my example is all wrong, tell me and Ill try to find a better one. |

Looks like you got the hang of it
I love these two, but they are too small to turn into effective avatars:

Well, Livie has the 2nd one already, but are you sure you can't put the first one up as your avatar? And if not, would Mr. Cheese let you put it into the gallery anyway?
Well, Mr. Cheese?

Well, Mr. Cheese?
Sorry Livie, didn't notice
It's okay, I'm happy with the one I have, unless you think it's crap I was just posting the links as 'extras' cos I thought they were funny. Guess Livie will be getting into my Top 3
It is always a problem with signs on avatars, they don't often come out cleanly. It isn't that I can't upload them, it's just that having uploaded them, they are too small to read
Anyway, I like my juxtaposed landscape ....
Edit: whl, you want to copy the link to your post and I'll delete it from mine? Will maybe help others appreciate how funny yours is if they can see it 'blown up' |

Here's an unlikely juxtaposition that has become a classic fable: the tortoise and the hare - um - hair? |

With apologies to all those who are in, or have loved ones in the fighting forces, here is a juxtaposition of two words that often should not be put in the same sentence. |
