This week's topic is Tabloid Headliners - the weirdest, wildest, wickedest, winningest headliners you can find. (It's headliners, it doesn't have to be a headline!!)

My choice is the biggest tabloid story of the past year - the train wreck that was Anna Nicole Smith.

Tried to set up the gallery but the problem is worse than ever, duh. It won't keep me logged in long enough to accomplish anything.

I've noticed that problem. I have to add my pic very quickly or it logs me out.

Remember Lindsay, Paris, and the newly divorced Britney's night on the town? It was dubbed the 'Bimbo Summit'

I'll take a look.

I think I MAY have fixed it...I put in session timeouts for sixty minutes. I was able to use it w/o getting logged out...please let me know if you continue to have problems with it; there is one more tweak I could try.

This has to be one of the most famous headlines of all time, and as many of you will know it marked the sinking of the Argentine ship the General Belgrano during the Falklands War in 1982. No standoffish neutrality for The Sun.

I was tempted to look for a copy of the paper that featured the headline "Witchdoctor orders Serb to have sex with hedgehog", but I suspect I'd have run out of room (just as the hedgehog did).

Wait, I'm changing.

I've taken wildhart at her word and switched to a headliner. It didn't seem right that no one had highlighted Big Brother, the TV show that has probably spawned more tabloid headlines than any other.

There's a tabloid in the UK called the Daily Star. Without Big Brother there would be a big empty space on its front page most days - and that includes the months when the show's not being broadcast.

Words fail me in my attempt to describe how infantile, vapid and puerile this 'newspaper' is.

In memoriam: JonBent Patricia Ramsey (August 6, 1990 December 26, 1996). Tabloid reporters hounded these poor people until Patsey Ramsey died of ovarian cancer in 2006, 10 years after the murder of her precious little girl. This is An American Tragedy of unproportioned cruelty. Stars and personalities, by their very nature, are prime targets for tabloid fodder, but this little girl's death/murder should have been taboo. I'm not just blaming the tabloid newspapers, even (supposedly) reputable news medias couldn't get enough of the Ramsey's tragedy. The list of who didn't do it would have been shorter!

Sorry, can you tell I dislike tabloids?

The login issue is still with fwiffer.com. I think it needs someone a whole lot smarter than I to figger it out...when I get time I will just recode the whole damn thang.
