I altered my avatar somewhat, but not before I added the other one to the gallery.  I don't seem to have authority to delete it, could someone who has the power please delete the first one (the one without the headlines etc). Thanks.  |

Oops, only just noticed this post. Actually, I'm quite looking forward to this competition ending so I can change it. I don't have any rules when it comes to humour, hence I laugh all the way through zombie movies.

Maybe I'm just twisted, but I think your avatar is hilarious, especially considering how much you adore penguins.
When I was working on the "Curious George" cartoon, one of the animators drew me a picture of George morphed into a monster similar to Ridley Scott's Alien vomiting blood into the Man in the Yellow Hat's mouth. I hung it on my bullitin board all season. |

Forever ago, it seems, but it was just the New Year's Resolutions avatar contest, I was quite worried about whether my avatar would upset or offend anyone. It was Mary-Kate Olsen, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan, all emaciated looking, with the caption "Lose 10 Pounds." I wrote a couple people privately and asked about its appropriateness. The answer I got was that there aren't any rules about it. If I was comfortable with it, then it would likely be okay. Different things are upsetting to different people and if we all were hesitant to post things for fear of that, a lot of things wouldn't get passed as reviews or picked in contests. And like GHCool, knowing your penchant for penguins, its even better. |
