Conan update:
Night 1 prizes.
Outdoor setting.
Set of knifes in block.
$1280 cash.
Victory and offered a his/hers set of golf clubs, offer not taken.

Air conditioner.
Noritake dinner set.
$2250 worth of carpet/rugs.
A luxury holiday for 2 to Byron Bay. (Conan even made the joke of who he would take)

Next update will be on Tuesday 6th.

If you take the final prize you have to leave the show. If you decide not to take it, you come back and risk it for a better prize.
Conan is only risking the final prize, the smaller ones along the way are his to keep. |

Yep I'm just risking the fridge at the moment. The cash jackpot is up to $150,000 at present and I can add an extra $50,000 dollars each night I win by answering 10 questions correctly in under 60 seconds (2 for 2 so far). However I can only get the jackpot by winning for 7 episodes. I taped the first 2 sessions on Tuesday 16th October. The next 4 sessions were taped on Thursday 25th October and I'll leave it open as to whether I had to come back again. 
On Night 6 I can take all the big prizes which will include the golf clubs and the Internet fridge but the prizes can arrive up to 28 days after the episode screens. Thus far only the knives have been delivered - possibly so I can commit seppuku if I put in a bad show.
As to going for the gift shop prizes and the vault etc... any episode can offer up someone that fraction faster, so my motto is grab what I can, while I can. If I get the big stuff fantastic, if not, I'm currently $16,000 in cash and prizes better off than when I started.
PS I would have jumped on last night but my daughter Sarah was involved as a passenger in a car accident - nothing too serious (except for the car which was on its roof) but we spent a few hours in a hospital casualty room waiting around to be told what we already knew. |

Oh, Conan, I'm so sorry to hear about Sarah -- even if thank goodness she wasn't hurt - the after-effects are never easy or pleasant.
Do let her know that it's very normal if she feels a bit depressed in the coming weeks.
And tell her we're thinking of her and hoping for a speedy and full recovery.
Meanwhile - I'm sure you were good value on the telly.
